How my personality and communication skills improved 10x by practicing “Critical thinking”
Hey there! Today I just wanted to share how this “critical thinking” practice has led my life to a better spot than it was a few years ago.
I would like to appreciate your visit to my website. You are here, which means you are already close to critical thinking. I would like to wish you good luck on your journey of practicing critical thinking.
Talking about a few years ago, I did not have enough communication skills. The discussions with my friends were mostly poor. Slowly, I started to dig deep into “Human psychology“. During the lockdown in 2020-2021, I could not go outside, and I was either playing games, scrolling on YouTube, or hanging out with my friends online.
I did not want any weird beef with my friends then, so I got eager about others’ thought processes and psychology. There you go, I got deep into this critical thinking realm and started shaping my life in a decent structure.
Critical thinking helps you to be more thoughtful. The thoughts help you make better decisions. You start making decisions with your brain, not fully depending on your heart/emotions.
In my opinion, the biggest change I have pulled off in my lifestyle was by learning how to criticize others.
With the help of critical thinking, I started making constructive criticism instead of destructive criticism. Constructive criticism helps one directly feel one’s faults and start taking action accordingly. Meanwhile, destructive criticism just breaks their hearts and makes them lose willpower at work. I, personally, always try to point out others’ mistakes in a friendly way. I try to talk with them about the issue and cooperate with them on how to fix the problem.
When you have mastered critical thinking, it will make you think about thousands of outcomes of your actions and cancel all the unnecessary ones, so that you may have a clear vision of what impact your deed is going to have.
You start to be more calculative while speaking to someone or doing some work. Soon you will find out your moves have almost zero flaws.
DISCLAIMER: I do not recommend you start “overthinking” about your actions. Sometimes just go with the flow. We don’t want to end all our fun by thinking about the outcome of our deeds.
I have tried many things in my life, but developing a calculative mindset, going to the debate club, playing chess, and solving tricky math/physics questions helped me a lot, I believe.
It may vary from person to person, but practicing these hobbies may lead you to a good start.
